Size Guide
Finding the right fit is important. Most Gillson Beach apparel items include a detailed sizing chart directly on the product page to help you choose the best size. This page is meant to serve as a general guide across our collections.
Because many Gillson Beach items are made to order, we recommend reviewing product-specific sizing before placing your order. If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit.
How to Measure
Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the measuring tape level across your back.
Length
Measure from the highest point of the shoulder down to where you want the garment to end.
Sleeve
Measure from the shoulder seam down to the cuff, or from the center back of the neck across the shoulder and down the arm for a fuller sleeve measurement.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably snug but not tight.
General Fit Guidance
Gillson Beach products vary slightly by garment and manufacturer, but most fall into the following general fit categories:
- Standard fit: classic everyday fit, not too slim and not oversized
- Relaxed fit: roomier through the body with a more laid-back silhouette
- Athletic or tailored fit: slightly more fitted through the chest, shoulders, or body
Adult T-Shirts
Our adult t-shirts generally run true to size and offer an easy everyday fit. This includes many of our staple tees, heavyweight tees, garment-dyed tees, and premium short sleeve styles.
If you prefer a more fitted look, order your usual size. If you prefer a roomier or more relaxed fit, size up.
Garment-dyed and heavyweight styles may feel slightly more substantial and structured than lighter everyday tees.
Long Sleeve Shirts and Performance Tees
Long sleeve and performance styles generally fit true to size. If you plan to layer underneath, sizing up may provide a more comfortable fit.
Sweatshirts and Hoodies
Most sweatshirts and hoodies have a comfortable unisex fit designed for layering and everyday wear. In general, they run true to size with a relaxed feel.
If you want a more tailored fit, choose your normal size. If you want a roomier fit for layering or a more oversized look, size up.
Tank Tops and Sleeveless Styles
Tank tops may fit slightly closer to the body depending on the garment. Men’s tanks usually have a standard athletic fit, while women’s racerback styles may have a more contoured shape.
If you prefer a looser fit, consider sizing up.
Polos, Jackets, and Outerwear
Polos, fleece vests, packable jackets, and outerwear pieces generally run true to size. If you plan to wear layers underneath, ordering one size up may offer a more comfortable fit.
Outerwear tends to vary more by brand and style, so we recommend reviewing the size chart on each product page when available.
Sweatpants and Tracksuits
Bottoms typically run true to size with a casual fit. If you prefer a slimmer fit, stay with your usual size. If you want a more relaxed fit, especially for lounging, consider sizing up.
Youth, Toddler, and Baby Apparel
Youth and toddler items generally fit true to size based on age range, but children grow quickly and sizing can vary slightly by garment.
If your child is between sizes, we usually recommend sizing up for longer wear.
Baby one-pieces and toddler apparel are designed for comfort and ease of movement, with fit varying slightly by style and brand.
Hats and Headwear
Many of our hats, including dad hats, snapbacks, trucker caps, visors, and youth caps, feature adjustable closures for a flexible fit.
Beanies generally offer a one-size fit with natural stretch, though exact fit may vary slightly depending on knit style and material.
Bags, Drinkware, and Accessories
Items such as tote bags, backpacks, mugs, tumblers, candles, AirPods cases, and similar accessories do not require sizing. Product dimensions, when relevant, are listed on the individual product page.

Returns and Exchanges
Because many Gillson Beach items are made to order, we generally do not offer returns or exchanges unless there is an issue with the order. If your item arrives damaged, incorrect, or mislabeled, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include your order number and photos of the issue.
